Recently I met Noel Browne, the grandson of R.F. Browne, who lived at "Locksley" before the family sold to the Forck family. Noel was 10 years old when they left the area for the Hawkesbury near Sydney.
Noel shared that his grandfather, R.F. Browne, was in the 4th Lighthorse Regiment and was in the famous charge at Beersheba. His grandfather is listed on our WW1 honour roll in the Hall.
We look forward to hearing more from Noel and perhaps adding a photograph of his grandfather to the veterans' wall at the Hall.
